Hey all,

Well, near the mall area of my city, where drivers have no brains, I got cut off by a Lincoln trying a last second merge-right at the turnoff to the shopping acreage. I was close enough to see bacteria on her car door as I laid on the horn to let her know I was there. She didn't even look and kept turning so I hit the brakes hard and let her turn. I followed her to the Sears parking lot and let her know what had happened, kindly but firmly, and, as usual, she said she didn't see me (blind?) nor hear my horn (deaf?). Hard to believe, as close as I was, but it all scared the hell out of me nonetheless as the only place I had to go was into a tall curb and phone pole forest. Luckily, the guy behind me saw what was happening and slowed way down in plenty of time to not run up my rear end as I hit the binders. Had I not been paying attention with enthusiasm I would've eaten Ma Bell's phone pole and some red Lincoln paint. Anyway, I remember a horn discussion some ways back on the site and wondered what you all finally thought was best for replacing my OEM unit. Had I had a louder horn, I think this woman would've heard me and not turned. Can we simply hook up a loud car horn as long as it's 12 volts ? Is there too much current draw from bigger car horns ? What'ya all think ?

Thanks and be safe,

Tim
